Meet Your Instructor:
Richmond Ametefe is a self-taught artist who has produced art since 2019 in graphite, charcoal, and ink. He is a bachelor’s degree holder in Geography and Resource Development from the University of Ghana. Until 2019, he worked as a research assistant on the Climate and Ecosystem Change Adaptability and Resilience (CECAR-Africa) project. He also worked as a GIS Analyst at MapHouse Ghana Limited. Earlier in 2015, he won the UNESCO (Man and the Biosphere) Young Scientist Award for research on water resource management in the Songor Biosphere Reserve which birthed his interest in nature conservation. Therefore, Richmond’s art largely explores the relationship between man and the Biosphere- Man and his interaction with nature; with each piece aimed at stimulating love for nature and promoting the need for its conservation.
