This course lays the foundation required for creating successful paintings with acrylics. Participants will learn about the basic painting styles. We will cover how to choose materials, surfaces and tools for acrylics to get desired effects. As well, we will delve into how to mix colours and apply colour theory to paintings, and how to mix and apply values of colour to create the illusion of light and form. We will experiment with the various painting tools including how to use painting knives to create “impasto” effects. This course is designed for beginner and intermediate.

Delee Grant is a local award winning artist that is known for her vast skill and experience. Delee’s approach to workshops will make this an educational, inspiring, and enjoyable experience.
